Trusting God When You Feel Alone
A story about how even in silence and solitude, God's presence never leaves us. Many feel forgotten during hard times, but this story and message will remind readers that unseen comfort is often the strongest.
📖 Story: "The Empty Chair"
In a quiet village, there lived an old man named David. He was sick, frail, and confined to his bed. One day, his daughter came to visit and noticed an empty chair placed next to his bed.
"Appa, is someone coming?" she asked curiously.
David smiled faintly. “Yes. I keep that chair for Jesus. Years ago, my pastor told me I could talk to Jesus as if He’s sitting right next to me. Since then, I’ve never felt alone.”
Every morning, David would turn to the empty chair, whispering his joys, pains, and prayers — like talking to an old friend.
A few days later, David passed away peacefully in his sleep. When the nurse found him, his body had slightly turned toward the chair, as if he was resting on someone’s shoulder.
We often feel alone in our struggles. But just like David, if we truly believe that God is near, we’ll find strength even in silence.
“God may be invisible, but His presence fills the room where faith lives.”
🌅 Start Your Day With a Short Prayer – Just Talk
Prayer doesn’t need fancy words or long rituals. It begins with a simple conversation — just like talking to a close friend.
🌼 When you wake up in the morning, before touching your phone or jumping into the rush of the day, take 60 quiet seconds.
🕊️ Close your eyes and say:
“Good morning, Lord. Thank You for another day. Walk with me, guide me, and help me shine light wherever I go.”
That’s it. That tiny moment will change the rhythm of your whole day.
💛 Why Prayer matters:
- Prayer brings clarity
- It reminds you: You are never walking alone.
- It invites peace before the noise starts.
🕊️ “In the morning, Lord, You hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before You and wait expectantly.”
With hope & joy,
– Joyful Scribbles 💛
“Little scribbles. Big faith.”
