Other newer lamps were polished and perfect — glowing brightly at festivals. The little lamp whispered to itself, "I’m broken. No one will choose me." One rainy night, there was a sudden power cut in the village. People panicked. The potter rushed to find a lamp — but all the polished ones were out of oil or had broken glass.
